Paolo Andrea Deandrea, born in Milan, journalist and cartoonist, paints “Le Moschine” a small world that recalls the styles of American cartoons of the 20s and 30s with a mix of surreal, cheerful, grotesque and intimately melancholic feelings, transporting us into a farcical and tragicomic world.

Hamlet the Mushroom is part of Le Moschine, a series of characters inspired by the style of American cartoons from the 1920s and 1930s.
Like Shakespeare's Hamlet, Hamlet the Mushroom tells us about poison, madness and death. On the other hand, Hamlet the Mushroom is nice, the other one not so much.
It is painted on canvas with acrylic colors and colored pencils, finished and fixed with a satin finish.
