Paolo Andrea Deandrea, born in Milan, journalist and cartoonist, paints “Le Moschine” a small world that recalls the styles of American cartoons of the 20s and 30s with a mix of surreal, cheerful, grotesque and intimately melancholic feelings, transporting us into a farcical and tragicomic world.
JUNGLE FEVER is part of "Le Moschine", a series of acrylic paintings in the style of old American cartoons from the 1920s and 1930s.
It evokes the dreamlike spirit of Henri Rousseau's famous landscapes, transporting us into a fairy-tale, colorful jungle. The use of acrylics and pencils on wood gives the work a lively, almost primitive atmosphere, where the smiling characters and lush vegetation invite us to dive into a world of pure imagination. As in Rousseau's jungles, here too the forest becomes an imaginary refuge, a magical place of fantasy.
